WATERLOO PARK COMMUNITY BUILDINGS

The City of Waterloo master planning for their urban park includes new amenities and revitalization of existing facility. This adaptive re-use project is to create a neighbourhood hub by re-purposing their existing service building. The space is to include a large multi-purpose room with café and light food service, washrooms and a community meeting room. Large overhead doors (to be retrofitted with glazing) will allow the space to be opened to the park in warmer months. As part of the Master Planning RENEWarchitect was engaged to propose ideas for an amenity building to house park washrooms and utilities that would be tucked under bleachers and a terrace.
